From 1996 to 2000, Greg was an executive at America Online, eventually serving as Vice President of Sales at America Online, overseeing more than $600 million in annual revenue. Greg joined AOL after the acquisition of 2Market, an interactive shopping startup he co-founded. Greg is a Sloan Fellow from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario. Jamie ChengSENIOR VP OPERATIONS Jamie Cheng oversees revenue management and ad operations at Halogen Publishers. Before co-founding the company, he served on the senior management team at RedEnvelope, a high-end Web and catalog retailer. While there, he helped grow revenue from $0 to $110 million, culminating in an IPO in 2003. Prior to RedEnvelope, Jamie was an Internet brand strategy consultant at Prophet. Jamie earned dual MBAs from U.C. Berkeley and Columbia University, and a B.S. from U.C. Berkeley. Nicole AlvinoVP OF PUBLISHER DEVELOPMENT Nicole runs Business Development and finds creative and effective ways for publishers and advertisers to work together online. She brings her knowledge of the luxury advertiser from her previous role as Founder and CEO of Dermalounge, a luxury skin health spa company. She started her career in structured finance and business development at Enron. She has BA in Economics Magna cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Lance GolerVP OF SALES, EAST COAST Lance comes to Halogen Guides from Tablet Hotels, where he spearheaded sales and business development for the leading luxury travel site. Lance has over 18 years of media sales and marketing experience, having sold numerous integrated marketing programs to Fortune 500 companies. In an earlier life, Lance was a director or talent for the Reunion on the Mall, a festival event for the inauguration of President William Jefferson Clinton. Lance holds a B.A. from George Washington University. The primary investor is Jim Kohlberg who is also our Chairman of the Board. Jim co-founded Kohlberg & Company, a leading middle-market private equity firm, which has organized six private equity funds. His firm has completed nearly 100 investments in undervalued companies. Jim is an active venture capital investor in Internet media, entertainment and alternative energy. His recent investments include ClearEdge Power, a fuel cell company, Essential Entertainment, a film finance and foreign sales company, and Current TV, an Emmy-winning interactive content cable company. Allen Morgan has spent 25 years counseling entrepreneurs throughout the startup process, first as a well-known Silicon Valley lawyer and, since 1999, as a managing director at Mayfield Fund. Allen's investments include BlackArrow, DECA, Electric Cloud, Jobster, Pluck, Slide, Snap, Tagged and Zenprise. Our extended family includes the following leaders in Internet media, brand advertising and luxury marketing: Ken Austin has been Executive Vice President and CMO of Marquis Jet Partners since its inception. At Marquis Jet, Mr. Austin oversees business development, marketing, sales support and sales consultants and is a member of the company Board. Pat Connolly is Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Williams-Sonoma Inc., and oversees all marketing aspects for the company. He currently serves on the management board of the Stanford Business School and CafePress. Gordon Crovitz is former publisher of The Wall Street Journal and president of the Consumer Media Group of Dow Jones, where he oversaw the growth of The Wall Street Journal Online to the largest subscription news site on the Web, acquired MarketWatch.com and launched the news database service Factiva. Scott Galloway is founder and principal of Firebrand Partners, an activist investment firm that acquires strategic positions in publicly traded consumer companies. Scott is also a Clinical Associate Professor at The Stern School of Business (NYU) where he teaches brand strategy to 2nd year MBA students. He is also on the board of the New York Times Company. Michael Hudes is currently President, Innovation Strategy and Growth for Interpublic Media Brands where he is responsible for directing emerging media strategy and corporate development activities for all of Interpublic's global media assets including the IPG Media Lab. Michela O'Connor Abrams is the President and Publisher of Dwell, the award-winning design and lifestyle media company. She has over 20 years of experience in publishing, trade show management, online branding strategies and strategic business development. Bill Youstra has served as a consultant and advisor to several Silicon Valley companies in the areas of consumer media, e-commerce, mobile and virtual world applications. Bill previously worked as a VP of Product & Content at AOL.
